SoldComps

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

1. Who we are

SoldComps ("we", "us") is a marketplace data API at sold-comps.com and api.sold-comps.com. Questions about this policy: [email protected].

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — your email address and name. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from them.
  • API requests — for each request: the endpoint, your search terms and filters, the time, the result count and the response time, and technical data that your client sends: IP address, user agent and similar request headers.
  • Sign-ins — the IP address and user agent of each sign-in to the dashboard.
  • Website demo — the keyword you search and your IP address.
  • Messages — what you send us by the contact form or by email, and your answer to the "how did you find us" question.
  • Billing — your plan, usage and payment history. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
  • Marketplace sign-in data — only if you choose to send it with a request. We use it to run that request. We do not write it to our request logs, and we do not keep it after the request or job is complete.

3. How we use it

  • To create and manage your account and API keys.
  • To process payments and to count usage against your plan.
  • To keep the Service secure, to prevent abuse and to find the cause of errors. We use IP addresses for this, and to limit the rate of the website demo (5 per day, 20 per month per IP) and the contact form.
  • To answer your support requests.
  • To send you emails about your account, usage and billing, and product updates. Each email that is not necessary for your account has an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand how the product is used so that we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with providers that help us operate the Service:

  • Stripe — payments and subscriptions.
  • Google and GitHub — only if you use them to sign in.
  • Infrastructure providers — hosting, database, storage, network, rate limiting, email delivery and customer support tools.
  • Data-collection providers — they carry out the marketplace request. They receive the search (keywords and filters) and any Marketplace sign-in data you chose to send. They do not receive your account details.

Our providers can process data in Canada, the United States and other countries.

Our website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when it loads a page.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account data: until you ask us to delete your account.
  • Request and sign-in records: as long as we need them for billing, support, security and abuse investigation.
  • Website demo rate-limit counters: up to 32 days.
  • Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.

6. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your personal data, a correction or its deletion at any time: [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you can have more rights under your local law, and the right to complain to your data protection authority.

7. Cookies

The site uses cookies only to keep you signed in. We use no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking pixels.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top.
